"Some day, in years to come, you will be wrestling with the great temptation, or trembling under the great sorrow of your life. But
the real struggle is here, now, in these quiet weeks. Now it is being decided whether, in the day of your supreme sorrow or temptation, you shall miserably fail or gloriously conquer. Character cannot be

Sunshine & Gardens

April 30 -
I do so love the sunshine. I am definitely a Spring/Summer person. I planted some pansies and geraniums yesterday and my husband tilled up the garden area. I have raised beds for the vegetable garden and use a lot of pots and hanging baskets for the flowers as well as some flower beds. Our yards not in very good shape anymore. It's showing it's age (35 years) and the wear and tear of two big dogs as well as the effects of shade, moss, decomposing roots from the trees we've taken down over the years and some neglect. I try to pretty it up with flowers until we can afford to tear it all up and start over. When we are able to do that, I want to design an overall plan and install a sprinkler system.

Tomorrow it's over to the Farm & Garden store or Fred Meyers to drool over all the beautiful plants and try to narrow down my choices. :)
